In the coming years, city leaders will need to be versed in green and information technologies to assist with the implementation, use, and success of these systems. ICS’s education and training programs strengthen the skills, instincts, abilities, processes and resources that city leaders need to thrive, survive, and adapt in the global economy and to succeed as well in their local economic development initiatives. |
ICS’s CED program development is a systematic process that follows a logic model of planning, implementing and evaluating community economic development programs, or projects on a small or larger scale such as a comprehensive community initiative, or a county or statewide initiative. The scope may be different but the principles of program development remain the same. |
ICS’ capacity building strengthens the abilities of city leaders and their staff to identify and meet development challenges in their local jurisdiction. It facilitates learning and offers an extensive network to help them find the right solutions for heir cities and improves skills in the areas of CED program development, neighborhood revitalization, civic participation, and leadership. |
